So he's lost out on the South Wales footballing bragging rights (for the time being), and the Bluebirds have been beaten in what turned out to be mixed affair at the Liberty, but at least Dave Jones goes home down the M4 not totally empty handed. He's picked up another Championship manager of the month award. Taking 10 out of a possible 12 in October, he's got one over on the sharply dressed Senhor Sousa (who looked more like the man from C&A) who was also up for the award. Let's hope the manager of the month curse doesn't strike again.
